TISSNET 2020 - TISSNET 2020 Tata Institute of Social Sciences is going to conduct TISSNET 2020 on January 4, 2020 (2 pm - 3:40 pm) in online mode. TISSNET 2020 application form was released on October 18, 2019, at tiss.edu. Candidates could fill TISSNET application form 2020 in online mode, till November 30. Registered candidates will be able to download the admit card of TISSNET 2020 between December 18 and December 19. The result of TISSNET will be declared on February 4, 2020 (5 pm). The entrance examination of TISSNET 2020 will be conducted in 40 cities around the country for admission in postgraduate programmes offered by six different campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. i.e, Mumbai, Guwahati, Tuljapur, BALM Chennai, Hyderabad and MGAHD Nagaland.

Candidates must make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of TISSNET 2020 before heading on to fill the TISSNET registration form. Given below are the bullet points from where candidates can check the general TISSNET 2020 eligibility criteria.
Candidates must check the TISSNET 2020 eligibility criteria of the courses they want to apply for. Only those candidates who are able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations are eligible to apply for admission in TISSNET 2020.
Candidates could start filling the TISSNET 2020 application form from October 18, 2019. The application form of TISSNET 2020 could be filled and submitted until November 30, 2019. Registered candidates who need to complete some details in the application form of TISSNET 2020 can do the same until December9, 2019. The mode of application was online. Candidates could select a maximum of three programmes from any two campuses of TISS while filling out the application form. Before filling the TISSNET application form 2020, candidates were advised to check the eligibility criteria for their desired programmes. Candidates were required to fill each and every mandatory detail in the TISSNET application form 2020. The complete application process was divided into four steps.
Step 1 - Registration
Candidates need to first register themselves by visiting the official website of TISS and providing their email ID and mobile number.
Once the details are filled, candidates will receive a confirmation and password on their registered email ID and mobile number. The same password will be used to login and fill the details in the application form.
Step 2 - Filling up Application Form
Enter the personal details such as gender, date of birth, employment status, Parent's/ Guardian's name, etc.
Filli in the academic details required such as the name of the qualifying exam, previous university's name, specialized subjects, etc.
Enter the contact details required in the TISSNET application form like address, mobile number, domicile details, parent's/ guardian's email ID, etc.
Step 3 - Uploading Documents
Candidates need to upload the requisite documents including a scanned image of the signature, passport size photograph and relevant documents.
They must ensure that the documents must be uploaded in the specified size and format.
Step 4 - Application fee payment
After filling in all the details, candidates are required to pay their application fee both online and offline mode.
The application fee of TISSNET can be paid either by credit card, debit card, net banking or challan.
Note - Students belonging to rural areas with no internet access could write an application asking for a printed application form to TISS Mumbai. The filled application form must be sent by post to Mumbai campus.

Candidates who will successfully fill and submit the application form can download the admit card of TISS NET 2020. To download TISSNET admit card, candidates need to visit the official website of TISS. TISSNET admit card will be released between December 18 and December 19, 2019. The admit card of TISSNET 2020 will mention details including the name of the candidate, course applied, test date, test time, reporting time, a signature of the candidate, venue name, venue address and a photograph of the candidate. No candidate will receive TISSNET admit card 2020 by post. Candidates are required to paste a passport size photograph on their TISSNET 2020 admit card in case the photo on their admit card is not printed properly. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card of TISSNET 2020, candidates must contact the Office concerned where he/she submitted his/her Application Form in order to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
How to Download TISSNET Admit Card 2020
The entrance examination of TISSNET 2020 will be conducted in about 40 exam centres across the country. The exam centres for TISSNET 2020 will be divided into four regions. The conducting body has removed Mohali from the list of TISSNET exam centres 2020 and added Jammu and Srinagar to the new list. Candidates can check their allotted TISSNET 2020 exam centres in the admit card. Candidates need to carry the admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhar card, Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, PAN card) to the exam centres of TISSNET 2020. No candidate will be allowed to sit in TISSNET exam centre 2020 without the admit card.

The mock tests of TISSNET 2020 is an online platform where candidates can attempt test for their preparation of entrance examination. The official link of TISSNET 2020 mock test will be available from the first week of January 2020. TISSNET Mock tests 2020 are useful for candidates to prepare themselves well for the examination. Candidates can check through the mock tests from the previous year to prepare themselves better for the exam.

The result of TISSNET 2020 will be declared on February 4, 2020. To check TISSNET 2020 result, candidates need to enter their registered ID and password. The result is released in the form of a scorecard containing the name, sectional score, rank and overall score of the candidate. Candidates will be offered a seat in any of the campuses based on the result of TISSNET 2020. Candidates who qualify will have to attend the Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview (PIT-GD-PI) which will be conducted from March 11 to March 21, 2020. After the completion of this round, the list of selected candidates will be released by the institute following which two waiting lists will be released. The final result will be released in the form of a merit list including the names ranks and scores of candidates who have been selected for the different programmes.

TISSNET 2020 selection process will be conducted in two stages and will have three components for assessment. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI) based on their performance in the entrance exam. The shortlisted candidates of TISSNET 2020 can fill and submit the forms of Pre Interview and Personal Interview (PIT/PI).
Shortlisted candidates of TISSNET 2020 will be invited for Pre Interview and Group Discussion. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for TISSNET pre-interview and group discussion 2020. The first round of TISSNET 2020 Pre Interview/ Group Discussion will be held at TISS Mumbai, whereas the second round will be held at Hyderabad, Guwahati and Mumbai at the respective campuses. Candidates shortlisted after Pre Interview Test/ Group Discussion of TISSNET 2020 need to fill an online application form which will be released in the third week of February 2020. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category will be eligible for Govt. of India’s Post Matric Scholarship programme.
Candidates who will be selected after pre-interview and group discussion round will be called for the interview of TISSNET 2020. Candidates will be asked questions about their knowledge in the applied programme. TISSNET 2020 Interview will be the final round of admission. TISSNET interview 2020 for the candidates applying for programmes offered at Mumbai, Tuljapur, MGAHD Nagaland and Banyan Chennai will be held at Mumbai campus, whereas for Hyderabad and Guwahati campuses will be held at the respective campuses.

The first waiting list of TISSNET 2020 will be released on May 11, 2020.
Candidates who will be allotted seats into any programme which is on their second preference will only be retained on the waiting list of the first preference. Similarly, candidates who are allotted a seat in a programme which is their third preference, they will be retained in the waiting list of their first and second preference.
Candidates who are offered a seat in the programme of their first preference will not be on waiting lists for any other programme mentioned in their list of preferences.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in a programme which was their last preferences will be retained in the waiting list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that programme are filled.
If a candidate will qualify in two programmes at the same time, when the waiting list will be released, the higher preference will prevail. The admitting Institute will offer admission only to the higher preference.
When a candidate who has already taken admission in a programme as per their first merit list is subsequently offered the higher preference when the waiting list is activated, the candidate will be moved into the programme of higher preference and will be informed about the same.
