Thapar University, Patiala announced the successful completion of the Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship 2016-17 by their students on June 22, 2017. The event was held at the Israel-Asia Centre which saw the presence of Ambassador Mark Sofer as keynote speaker. The event also witnessed prominent guests including the Israeli and Asian diplomats, friends and supporters of the Israel-Asia Center, trade organisations, journalists and members of Israel's business and academic communities.
Saurabh Sharma, a student of the Business School at Thapar University was selected for this fellowship among several hundred applicants. Naresh Bhansali, another student from Thapar University did his internship at Greeneye, an Israel based research & analytics firm. Both Sharma and Bhansali are completing their Masters in Environmental Studies at Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES) under an exchange programme. Bhansali has also volunteered to do his research on the energy monitoring of the PSES green building.
