NEST Seat Allotment 2020 - NISER Bhubaneshwar and UMDE-CBS will release the NEST 2020 seat allotment by the month of July 2020, tentatively. The seat allotment list of NEST 2020 will be released after the completion of two rounds of offline counselling. Candidates whose names will appear on the merit list released by both of the institutes need to complete the NEST seat allotment 2020 process. The seat allotment of NEST 2020 is done based on the merit list prepared after the results declaration. To complete the NEST 2020 seat allotment process, candidates need to attend the counselling and document verification process. Candidates interested to take admissions in any of these institutes need to register themselves for NEST counselling 2020. Candidates are called for the second round of NEST counselling 2020 based on the vacancy of seats after the release of the first seat allotment list. It must be noted that, if the seats are filled in the first round itself, the institutes will directly close the admissions.

NEST Seat Allotment Process 2020

  • After the commencement of NEST 2020, the result of the entrance examination will be released on June 16, 2020. The merit list of NEST 2020 will be released in the last week of June 2020 by both the institutes separately.

  • Candidates who are shortlisted in the merit list of NEST must register themselves for the counselling process and attend the counselling process with the relevant documents.

  • The first round of NEST 2020 counselling for NISER and CEBS will be conducted in the first week of July and the second week of July 2020.

  • Candidates who will be allotted a seat can check their names after the commencement of NEST counselling 2020 for first round.

  • NEST 2020 seat allotment process will be considered complete only after the second counselling round is finished.

  • In case there are seats to be filled for the different programmes, the institutes will release a waiting list.

  • Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the NEST 2020 first counselling round can withdraw their seats by the first week of July 2020.

  • Candidates whose names will be shortlisted in the waiting list will be called for the second round of NEST counselling 2020.

  • Candidates, who are called for the first round of NEST counselling 2020 but do not turn up, are not considered for admission and the seats are considered as vacant.

  • The institutes will release the final list of candidates who will secure admission to the different programmes after the second round of counselling is completed.

NEST Cut Off 2020

The cut off of NEST 2020 will be released in the third week of June 2020. NEST 2020 cut off is the minimum marks candidates must have to be eligible to appear in the entrance test. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of cut off of NEST 2020. Both of the participating institutes will release the NEST 2020 cut off marks separately for all the programmes. NEST cut off 2020 depends on many factors including the difficulty level of question paper, previous year cut offs, number of applicants, number of vacant seats, etc.

The candidate must have passed class 12 in science stream with a combination of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. So yes you do need maths to give the exam

which chapters requires to get at least 15- 20 marks in nest bio as I am a pcm student(I have bio in my +2, but I gave majority to pcm)??

Hello.
It looks like you have physics chemistry Mathematics and biology in your 10+2 and you have given your major focus on physics ,chemistry and mathematics now you are confused that what should you do for having at least passing marks in biology so I will suggest you to go with the previous year question papers now because you don't have much time for preparation because exams are near so  you can do previous year question papers ,most of the question will be repeated in the coming exam.

how can I qualify for NEST exam?

Hello Smrutishree,

NISER along with UM-DAE CEBS has released NEST 2020 application form on January 8, 2020 (2:30 pm) in online mode.

The last date for application is on 3rd April 2020. The exam will be conducted on 6th June 2020.

To qualify the exam, one needs to be well aware of the exam pattern and syllabus.

The NEST 2020 exam pattern has been released by NISER and CEBS along with the admission notification.

The online examination will consist of all the MCQs. The syllabus for NEST 2020 is solely based upon class 11th and 12th science subjects. There are a total of five sections, carrying a total mark of 180.
