The university had started the Admission to Mumbai University for various undergraduate courses like B.Com, B.A, B.Sc on June 1, 2018. Although Mumbai University Admission is conducted for undergraduate degrees, postgraduate degree, PhD, PG Diplomas, but in this article, we’ll discuss the undergraduate degree courses only. Aspirants who wish to get Mumbai University Admission 2018 must check with the eligibility required for the course of their choice. The basic eligibility for Admission to undergraduate programme requires a candidate to clear their Class 12th or its equivalent by a recognised board in science, commerce or arts stream. All the admission procedure will be based on the merit list prepared by Mumbai University. Admission to Mumbai University follows a semester system. There will be two semesters in a year with examinations held in months of October/November and April/May.

Mumbai University 2018 Admission Process

The University of Mumbai will offer admissions to various undergraduate programmes in the university-affiliated colleges for the academic admission year 2018. The Mumbai University 2018 undergraduate admissions in the various programmes will be offered on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying board examination under 10+2 education system. The admission process of University of Mumbai 2018 begins with the announcement of Mumbai University application form. After the applicants have filled the application form for undergraduate programmes, the university declares cut off for University of Mumbai Admission 2018. The candidates, who meet the cut off marks for Mumbai University 2018 admission, will have to report to the colleges for document verification and other formalities as per University of Mumbai admission regulation and eligibility criteria for the chosen programme. Mumbai University Admission 2018 Merit List

Mumbai University has announced the first merit list of Mumbai University 2018 on June 19, 2018. The merit list announced by the university includes the names of all the shortlisted candidates selected for admission. Post declaration of merit list, the university will call the candidates for document verification and admission process.

 

Mumbai University Eligibility Criteria 2018

Mumbai University is one of the largest universities in India with 749 affiliated colleges. Aspirants need to check the eligibility criteria before they begin to fill the application form for Mumbai University 2018 Admission. The basic eligibility criteria for Admission to Mumbai University states that a candidate must have cleared his/her class 12th in science, commerce or arts stream. The specific eligibility requirement is different and varies from course to course. The Admission into the university will be based on the Merit List released by the university. Applicants whose score is equal to or above the cut off declared by the university will find their names in the merit list. The merit list for Mumbai University 2018 Admission will be released in the last week of June 2018. Given below is the eligibility requirements for different courses:

  • UG courses in Science stream requires an applicant to clear class 12th in science stream i.e Medical or Non-medical as per chosen course.

  • UG courses in Commerce requires an applicant to clear 12th class with accounts and maths as the compulsory subjects.

  • UG courses in Arts stream requires an applicant to clear 12th class in any discipline.

Mumbai University Admission Form 2018

The University of Mumbai released the application forms for Admission into more than 600 programmes from May 31, 2018. Applicants are required to fill the pre-admission form online and submit the application form along with the pre-admission enrolment form before the last date. The first merit list for undergraduate programmes will be released by the university in the third /fourth week of June 2018.

 

Mumbai University Courses 2018

Mumbai University offers a number of undergraduate programmes under the regular three-year programme structure. The UG programmes are offered under different faculties including Arts, Commerce and Science in the central varsity. Moreover, the other faculties running in the Mumbai University include Computer Applications, Law, Engineering and Management. The candidates aspiring to pursue the undergraduate programmes from the University of Mumbai can choose amongst a variety of courses offered under these faculties. The conventional degree programmes are offered under the faculties mentioned below–

Mumbai University releases the cut off for Mumbai University Admission 2018 along with the merit list. The cut off marks are the scores which must be obtained to be considered eligible for Admission into the university. Only those candidates whose score is equal to or above the cut off score are eligible to get admission to the university.
