DU Colleges Phase 2 First Merit List 2016 after fifth cut off – University of Delhi colleges has been issued first merit list for second phase of admission in vacant seats on August 9. Delhi University colleges will be declaring the first merit list for 2nd phase of admission in both online and offline modes. The Delhi University colleges is offering admissions to different undergraduate programmes after the issuance of DU 1st merit list 2016 for 2nd phase.

The Delhi University Colleges is declaring DU 1st merit list 2016 second phase vacant seats' admission for various categories including General, OBC, SC, ST and PwD. The DU 2016 List as mentioned below will provide you an overview of the first merit list for DU 2016 Admissions.

 

The admissions for the year 2016 in the central university will be offered only if you meet the DU 2016 eligibility conditions and have your qualifying scores at par the 1st merit list for vacant seats 2nd phase of admission of DU 2016.

The DU 2016 Admissions shall be organized between August 10 and 11, 2016.

If I want to get admission in BSC honours in mathematics in Delhi University on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th , then what all subjects can I register for the calculation of percentage to be written in Merit list ? Can I register with Mathematics, computer and chemistry ?

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.

Can I get admission in Delhi University for doing B.Tech on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th or it is compulsory to give entrance examination ?

Hello Anurag, No, you can't get admission in BTech course only on the basis of 12th class marks. Giving the entrance test is compulsory. Giving entrance test is compulsory for the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies
  • Bachelor of Business Administration - FIA
  • B.A. (Hons) - Business Economics
  • B. Tech. - (IT&M)
  • B.A. (Hons) - Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El. Ed.)

Presently , Im in class 12th with Maths Stream. I have scored 81% in class 10th from ICSE board. Now what should I do after class 12th if I dont want to apply for JEE. What should be my preferences in getting admission in a good government college for doing B.Tech especially in Delhi University ?

If you are aiming for doing Btech, then your only choice is to give JEE exam as it is the only option you have. So I suggest you should fill up the form for JEE. It is going to be conducted in January 22, 2019. The next attempt will be in April, 2020. The complete details are here:

There are hundreds of college that comes under DU.
There is different eligiblity criteria for different colleges.To get admission in top colleges of DU like SRCC, St. Stephens college, hansraj college,Miranda house, hindu college etc you can get direct admission but you will have to score 95 and above percentage in your 12th board examination.
If you are general category then aim for above 97%.
