Delhi University (DU) Colleges Third Merit List 2016 – University of Delhi colleges has announced DU Third Merit List 2016 on August 3 in both online and offline modes for admissions to vacant seats after the declaration of fifth cut-off. The admissions to various undergraduate programmes in the central university will be offered based on the 3rd merit list issued by each of the DU colleges. After the declaration of DU third merit list 2016 by the varsity's colleges, candidates need to check their names in the 3rd merit list along with their registration numbers, before visiting the respective colleges for document verification and admission approval process.

DU Third Merit List 2016 has been announced by a number of colleges of DU 2016 for various UG programmes as offered for the vacant seats after the 5th cut-off. The colleges will be declaring DU 3rd merit list for various categories including General, OBC, SC, ST and PwD. The DU 2016 List as mentioned below will provide you an overview of the 3rd merit list for DU 2016 Admissions.

The admissions for the year 2016 based on the third merit list will be held between August 4 and 5, 2016. Check here for other important dates of DU 2016.

If I want to get admission in BSC honours in mathematics in Delhi University on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th , then what all subjects can I register for the calculation of percentage to be written in Merit list ? Can I register with Mathematics, computer and chemistry ?

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.

Can I get admission in Delhi University for doing B.Tech on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th or it is compulsory to give entrance examination ?

Hello Anurag, No, you can't get admission in BTech course only on the basis of 12th class marks. Giving the entrance test is compulsory. Giving entrance test is compulsory for the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies
  • Bachelor of Business Administration - FIA
  • B.A. (Hons) - Business Economics
  • B. Tech. - (IT&M)
  • B.A. (Hons) - Humanities and Social Sciences

If you are aiming for doing Btech, then your only choice is to give JEE exam as it is the only option you have. So I suggest you should fill up the form for JEE. It is going to be conducted in January 22, 2019. The next attempt will be in April, 2020. The complete details are here:

There are hundreds of college that comes under DU.
There is different eligiblity criteria for different colleges.To get admission in top colleges of DU like SRCC, St. Stephens college, hansraj college,Miranda house, hindu college etc you can get direct admission but you will have to score 95 and above percentage in your 12th board examination.
If you are general category then aim for above 97%.
