Much awaited 1st cutoff of Delhi University for admissions to UG courses for the academic session 2015 was declared on June 24 midnight with a ‘bizarre cutoff marks’ as high as 100 for B.Sc Hons Computer Science course in as many as 2 DU colleges. Surprisingly, an aspirant who does not have the Computer Science needs a score 2.5 percent beyond a perfect 100 percent as per the ‘Best of Four’ criteria, thus making it impossible for those coming from a different discipline.
While the cut-off lists do not mention their actual cut-off for selected candidates going beyond 100 per cent, the hidden criteria says it all.
According to the ‘Best of Four’ criteria, candidates need 100 percent for admission in BSC Computer Science Course in IP College of Women. Additionally, the candidates who score 100 percent in best of four but don’t have Computer Science as their subject in Class XII will be considered for admission at 97.5 percent, due to a reduction criteria that is already in place. Thus, such students will never get admission opportunities in this college despite scoring 100 percent. In fact, they would virtually need 102.5 percent to get a seat at this college.
There are at least four colleges which have come out with such a bizarre cut-off for their most popular subjects. The list below brings you colleges and courses with 100 per cent cutoff.
IP College for Women
B.Sc (H) Computer Science
