Delhi University Sixth Cutoff List 2015 has been announced on July 19 evening by several colleges of the University for admissions to opted courses under three-year programme structure. Candidates will be offered admissions to the courses for which they have applied, if they meet the cutoff for DU Admissions 2015 as announced by the respective colleges. Candidates can check DU Sixth Cutoff List 2015 on this page through the official list as now it has been released.

LATEST - Delhi University shall be announcing DU 2016 Cutoff from fourth week of June and check the detailed process of DU Admission 2016 such as important dates, eligibility criteria, application form etc.

DU aspirants who meet the 6th cutoff can apply for admissions to the courses of their choice between July 20 and July 22, 2015. Moreover, the candidates will have to remit the admission fees in the scheduled admission window itself.

Last year, as per the official data, the admission process was closed for General category seats in several of the DU colleges for many preferred courses, including BA, BA (H) English, BA (H) Economics, B.Com and B.Com (H).

However, a few colleges like Ramanujan College had some seats for the B.Com programme where the cutoff for general category candidates was 88.5 marks. Hans Raj College too had some seats left under general category till the sixth cutoff list for which the cutoff was set as high as 96 and 96.75 for courses like BA (H) English and BA (H) Economics. While colleges like Hindu had seats left for a few programmes including BA, BA (H) English and B.Com (H) with cutoff as much as 95, 97 and 99.25, respectively, whereas IP College for Women had set the cutoff as high as 95.25 for B.Com (H) programme.

The University has 16 faculties and 86 departments spread over North and South campuses in the National Capital. The Central University has 83 affiliated colleges with around 150000 students in regular programmes and about 250000 students enrolled in its other programmes.

If I want to get admission in BSC honours in mathematics in Delhi University on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th , then what all subjects can I register for the calculation of percentage to be written in Merit list ? Can I register with Mathematics, computer and chemistry ?

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.

Can I get admission in Delhi University for doing B.Tech on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th or it is compulsory to give entrance examination ?

Hello Anurag, No, you can't get admission in BTech course only on the basis of 12th class marks. Giving the entrance test is compulsory. Giving entrance test is compulsory for the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies
  • Bachelor of Business Administration - FIA
  • B.A. (Hons) - Business Economics
  • B. Tech. - (IT&M)
  • B.A. (Hons) - Humanities and Social Sciences

If you are aiming for doing Btech, then your only choice is to give JEE exam as it is the only option you have. So I suggest you should fill up the form for JEE. It is going to be conducted in January 22, 2019. The next attempt will be in April, 2020. The complete details are here:

First off all du is the government University as well as reputed University ,
And in du admission on basic of either compitive exam else 12th % so there is no direct admission possible in du .
If you have Secord good marks automatically you will.get the admission.
