DU Admission Cut-off and Counselling – Based on your marks obtained in 12th standard, different colleges under DU releases their separate cutoff list. Thereafter, the admissions are made through counseling where candidates need to present their documents including Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, Class 12th Original Certificate, Character Certificate, Photographs before the college admission committee. The counselling procedure may be carried in 3 or more phases as per the counseling requirements. Last year, however, the counseling process for some of the colleges went upto 10 phases.

If I want to get admission in BSC honours in mathematics in Delhi University on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th , then what all subjects can I register for the calculation of percentage to be written in Merit list ? Can I register with Mathematics, computer and chemistry ?

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.

Can I get admission in Delhi University for doing B.Tech on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th or it is compulsory to give entrance examination ?

Hello Anurag, No, you can't get admission in BTech course only on the basis of 12th class marks. Giving the entrance test is compulsory. Giving entrance test is compulsory for the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies
  • Bachelor of Business Administration - FIA
  • B.A. (Hons) - Business Economics
  • B. Tech. - (IT&M)
  • B.A. (Hons) - Humanities and Social Sciences

Presently , Im in class 12th with Maths Stream. I have scored 81% in class 10th from ICSE board. Now what should I do after class 12th if I dont want to apply for JEE. What should be my preferences in getting admission in a good government college for doing B.Tech especially in Delhi University ?

Dear Aspirant,

If you are aiming for doing Btech, then your only choice is to give JEE exam as it is the only option you have. So I suggest you should fill up the form for JEE. It is going to be conducted in January 22, 2019. The next attempt will be in April, 2020. The complete details are here:

du mea Direct admission ho sakta hai

There are hundreds of college that comes under DU.
There is different eligiblity criteria for different colleges.To get admission in top colleges of DU like SRCC, St. Stephens college, hansraj college,Miranda house, hindu college etc you can get direct admission but you will have to score 95 and above percentage in your 12th board examination.
If you are general category then aim for above 97%.
