Delhi University BA Admissions 2015 Eligibility Criteria – Delhi University will be announcing the eligibility criteria for admissions to Faculty of Arts. University of Delhi directs its affiliated colleges to follow uniform eligibility criteria for admissions in the BA programmes.
Moreover, the affiliated colleges of the varsity will not be having any additonal eligibility criteria for BA Admissions for the academic session 2015. Click here to read the complete news. Candidates interested in applying for DU BA Admissions 2015 need to go through the following eligibility conditions required for BA programmes.
Eligibility Conditions for DU BA Admissions 2015 –
Candidates can eligible for admissions in language courses in the varsity with a disadvantage of 5% in the best of four subjects’ aggregate, if studied the particular language even till Class 10th. Moreover, English and Hindi subjects will be mandatory for seeking admissions in English (Hons.) and Hindi (Hons.) programmes, respectively.
All elective subjects in the CBSE curriculum which are regarded as Honours course by the university will be accepted in the best of four as academic subjects without any disadvantage.
Those who will be applying for Honours course in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics need just to qulaify in Mathematics in Class 12 as a subject.
However Physical Education, Home Science and Music in Class 12th will be considered in best of four as the academic subjects or elective subjects for only those candidates who are seeking admissions in these three courses.
The candidates who are pursuing two or three vocational courses are now eligible for the admission process, subjected to a deduction of 10% of the maximum marks in each subject.
The candidates need to apply for the undergraduate BA programmes at Faculty of Arts in the University should qualify Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, i.e., Class 12th of 10+2 school system or equivalent.
In addition to the above, candidates must have secured minimum required marks at par cutoff of different courses in Faculty of Arts.
There is no minimum age bar for admissions to the three-year undergraduate programmes at Faculty of Arts in University of Delhi.
The admissions will not be made on the predicted scores.
DU Admissions 2015 BA Programmes Grade Conversion – Candidates who have their qualifying marks in grades are advised to follow the table below for grade conversion –

DU Admissions 2015 BA Programmes Minimum Percentage of Marks– Candidates applying for various BA Programmes for the academic year 2015 need to secure at least the following percentage of marks as specified in the table below –

An aggregate 40% marks in the qualifying examination
The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects
An aggregate 45% marks in the qualifying examination
BA (Hons.) Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Punjabi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Bengali
An aggregate 45% marks in the qualifying examinationCandidates securing 40% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned are also eligible for admissions to the relevant Honours Programme
The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects. Candidates who have passed the intermediate /Examination of an Indian University Board with at least 40% marks in the aggregate and also one of the following examinations given below on the left shall be eligible for admission to the respective subject of the Honours Course given below -Maulvi Fazil Arabic, Prabhakar Hindi Munshi, Fazil Persian, Gyani Punjabi, Abid Fazil Urdu and Shastri Sanskrit

You have not clearly mentioned whether for UG or PG and which course you are interested in.
As of now admission in DU is on merit list basis first you should know past years cutoff and then prepare hard and score good marks in board exams so that you can easily get a seat in DU .

Hello Anurag, Yes these three subjects are fine but you need to add one more subject in order to complete the best of four percentage. The rule is that you need one subject related to the course you are applying for, one language course(most of the students have english) and other two courses you can select as any two subjects with maximum marks.
