BHU UET Counselling 2020 - Banaras Hindu University will start conducting the BHU UET 2020 counselling from the first week of July onwards. The University will conduct the counselling of BHU UET 2020 in online mode after the declaration of results. Candidates will be invited for BHU UET counselling 2020 based on their ranks. BHU UET shortlisted candidates for counselling are required to undergo three stages to finalize their admissions – filling online option, seat allotment, reporting at the allotted college. Banaras Hindu University will issue electronic call letters to candidates shortlisted for BHU UET 2020 counselling. Candidates are intimated about the issue of BHU call letters through an SMS and an email. To access their BHU UET call letters, candidates need to login to ‘candidate segment’ on the entrance test portal. Only those candidates who will be allotted a call letter will be eligible for BHU UET counselling 2020.

The counselling process of BHU UET 2020 will be divided into three steps. Before participating in the counselling exercise, candidates are advised to download BHU call letters for UET. Candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the listed below procedure for BHU UET counselling.
Step 1 – Online Preference Entry
Candidates are required to fill in the following online preference entries to fill their choices. It is very necessary for all the candidates to fill the preference entry form.
Applicable when admissions are done for more than one course on the basis of the rank secured in common test for certain UG courses
Candidates can apply for their desired affiliated colleges if they have applied for a course which is offered in more than one location.
The candidates need to mention in the form if they want only regular fee seats or if they wish to take admissions into paid seats once the regular fee seats are full.
Candidates are strictly advised to leave no option blank. If any option is left blank, the computer will assume that the candidate does not list it in his/ her preferences

Step 2 – Seat Allotment on Counselling Day
After candidates are done with filling and submitting their online preference entries, the university will release the schedule for counselling of BHU UET 2020.
Candidates are required to reach the BHU UET counselling venue at the prescribed time.
Upon reporting to the counselling venue on the specified date, candidates will have to sign an attendance sheet.
The merit list of BHU UET 2020 will play a major role in the seat allotment process. Candidates will be called to attend the counselling session based on their ranks.
Candidates are advised to consult the incharge/ faculty head regarding course details, location, fee, and hostel availability. At this moment, candidates will get a chance to change their preferences. They will be able to do so by informing the admission officer or incharge at the venue of counselling.
After finalizing all the preferences, candidates can submit them with necessary original documents at the verification desk in the counselling venue.
Preference entry form once finalized by the candidate on the day of BHU UET counselling shall be considered final.
Upon submission, the computer will start allocating seats solely on the basis of the candidate’s merit in the entrance test, preferences, and seat availability.
Admissions to the paid seats will be done after all the regular seats are filled.
Step 3 – Collect Provisional Admission Letter
Those candidates who will be provisionally admitted can collect their admission letter from admission in-charge on the next day at the counselling venue (10 am).
Candidates can have a look at the important details mentioned in the provisional admission letter such as admission fee, payment deadline, etc.

Step 4 – Admission Fee Payment
Candidates are required to pay the admission fees before the deadline. Those candidates who will not be able to pay their admission fee within the stipulated may forfeit their chance of securing a seat.
Online mode – Candidates can use the online payment gateway on the BHU website for paying fees through credit/ debit card.
Offline mode – Candidates can also pay their fees in cash at counters in the counselling venue.
Step 5 – Fee Receipt
Candidates are required to pay the offline payment proof at the counselling venue latest 4 pm on the next day of counselling.
However, candidates who remit the admission fees in online mode will not have to furnish any such proof.
Failing to pay the fees will cancel candidates’ admissions to the programme.
There are chances of candidates’ upward mobility as per their preferences. If a seat in a course or location, or seat type of higher preference gets vacated, candidates will get the chance to claim it.
The final allotment will be done only after the last day of fee payment for the last date of counselling.
Documents Required FOR BHU UET Counselling 2020
Candidates must reach the counselling venue at the stipulated time carrying all the necessary documents. The documents required as follows -
Admit Card of BHU UET
Certificate of 10th class or equivalent
Mark sheet of 10th class exam
Certificate of 12th class or equivalent
Mark sheet of 10 + 2 class qualifying exam
SC/ ST/ OBC certificate on the basis of reserved quota
Transfer/ Migration certificate (should be carried in case of university except BHU)
Sports category certificate for candidates from sports quota.
Certificate issued by Central Registry for sons/ daughters of permanent employees/ re employed/ retired/ deceased employees of Banaras Hindu University.
Candidates shortlisted for counselling are sent electronic call letters on their registered accounts. They are also intimated about the issue of call letters through email and SMS.
Candidates can download the call letters by logging into their registered accounts with BHU.
The university does not mail call letters to the candidates in offline mode.
Only those candidates who satisfy BHU UET eligibility criteria for the UG courses are shortlisted for BHU UET counselling 2020.
Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the allotted venue on the day of counselling. Faculty head or in charge of BHU UET 2020 will be scrutinizing and verifying documents submitted on the counselling day.
In a case where a candidate is not able to appear for the counselling round along with the required documents, they will lose their claim for the consideration of provisional admission.

Different courses have different eligibility criterion to appear for entrance exam in BHU (Banaras Hindu University) .
In general, it is mandatory to have cleared 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50 percentage to appear for Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance test.
And the minimum eligibility requirement for BHU Post graduate entrance test 2020 is bachelor's degree in concerned subject with 50% aggregate percentage.
