AMU Admission 2019 – Aligarh Muslim University will release the notification for AMUEE 2019 in the first week of February 2019. Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest universities in the country. AMU 2019 Admission is conducted for the admission to the BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons) and B.Sc (Hons) programmes offered by the university. The University offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes across 13 faculties. Candidates who wish to seek admission to the Arts, Science and Commerce stream programmes can apply online. The applications will be available online from the first week of February 2019. AMU Entrance Exam 2019 will be held in the offline mode in the third week of April 2019.  AMU 2019 - Admission Process

The Admissions to AMU will be conducted through the entrance exam which will be conducted in the third week of April 2019. The admission process to AMU will start will the submission of the Application Forms in the online mode. Candidates who qualify the examination will be called for the counselling based on the Select List, Chance Memo List and the Special Category list released by the university after the results are declared. Candidates must attend the counselling procedure without fail on the date and time mentioned on the list. Lists will be released separately for the male and female candidates.

AMU Admission 2019 - Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for AMU Admission 2019 mention the minimum marks which the candidates need to secure in their qualifying examination. The minimum marks for candidates belonging to the general and OBC will be different compared to candidates belonging to SC/ ST and PwD categories. Candidates need to score a minimum of 50-55 per cent based on the category they belong to. Also, the eligibility for candidates belonging to the minority category will also vary.

How to prepare for AMU 2019

The AMU 2019 admission test is conducted for the B.A (Hons), B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Hons) programmes. Candidates who wish to appear for the given subjects can go through the tips given here for preparation.


Preparation for any examination first requires a thorough knowledge of the syllabus for the subjects. Candidates who wish to appear for AMU 2019 must make go through the syllabus mentioned for the subject of their choice. The syllabus will help candidates to prepare in a better way segregating the time as per the topics.


To prepare for AMU 2019 candidates need to prepare a time-table incorporating the syllabus, sample paper solving and mock tests. Make sure to give the right amount of time for the different aspects of preparation. AMU Admission 2019 - Syllabus

Aligarh Muslim University will release the syllabus for the different streams along with the notification of AMU Admission 2019.

  • B.A (Hons.) programme will include subjects like English language, General Awareness, Reasoning etc. 
  • B.Com (Hons.) programme will include topics like English, Accounts, Business studies, Economics etc. 
  • B.Sc (Hons.) programme will include topics like Physics, Maths, Chemistry and more.

AMU 2019 Exam Pattern

AMU Admission 2019 will be conducted in the offline mode for a duration of 2 hours. Candidates will have to answer one objective type of question paper for a total of 100 marks each. Each question paper will be divided into different sections each carrying a specific number of questions.

AMU 2019 Admit Card

The admit card for AMU Admission 2019 entrance exam will be available online. The admit card of AMU Admission 2019 will contain the details related to the exam centre, examination, date and timing. Candidates need to check all the information mentioned in the admit card before downloading the same. Candidates are also advised to keep a printout of the admit card in hand until the admission procedure is completed. Candidates are also required to carry along with their admit card a valid photo ID proof on the day of the examination.

AMU 2019 Answer Key

The answer key of AMU Admission 2019 will be released shortly after the AMU Admission 2019 exam is conducted. The answer key will show a scanned copy of the OMR sheet mentioning the correct answer for each question based on the series of question paper. Candidates can cross-check the answers along with the answer key online. In case candidates find any discrepancy in the answers they can bring the same to the notice of the authorities in before the dates mentioned by the university.

AMU 2019 Cutoff

The cutoff of AMU Admission 2019 will be released following the declaration of the AMU Admission 2019 result. The cutoff will mention the minimum marks scored by the candidates in the different subjects. The list will be released in the form of Select List, Chance Memo and Special Category. The lists also will be different for the Male and Female candidates.

AMU 2019 Result

The result of AMU Admission 2019 will be declared online. Candidates who have appeared for the AMU Admission 2019 entrance exam will be able to check the result online. The results will be declared from the second week of June 2019. The result will mention the rank and score of the candidates as per their category and gender.

AMU 2019 Counselling

The list of candidates who have qualified for the AMU 2019 counselling procedure will be released online. The counselling of AMU 2019 will be conducted in the offline mode from the second week of July 2019. Candidates who have qualified must attend the counselling process along with all the documents necessary on the date and time mentioned in the qualifying list.  

The following documents need to be submitted for the counselling process

  • Mark sheet of the qualifying examination along with four self-attested copies
  • Transfer / migration certificate from previous institute/university
  • Class 10 certificate for Date of birth
  • Five passport size photographs
  • Reservation Category proof

After the counselling process is complete, candidates who have been allotted seats should complete the admission process by paying the admission fee required for the course.
