Aligarh Muslim University has released the AMU application form 2020 on January 16.
AMU Admission 2020 - The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Aligarh Muslim University has extended the deadline of AMU 2020 admission form for PG, Diploma, Advanced Dioploma and Doctoral programme on January 20. Earlier, the last date for admission in AMU 2020 undergraduate programmes was February 14. The university has released the admission form of AMU 2020 for BA, BSc. and B.Com on January 16. Candidates who wish to enroll themselves for AMU admission 2020 in various UG and PG courses offered by the university can fill the application form of AMU 2020 before the last date of submission. The admit card of AMU 2020 admission will be released one or two weeks before the departmental/ entrance test of each programme. For admission in AMU 2020 PG courses, the university will conduct a departmental test, whereas for admissions in UG courses an entrance examination based on different programmes will be held. The AMU entrance exam for B. A., B. Sc. and B. Com. will be conducted on April 12, 2020, in offline mode, except for B.Sc Hons. Agriculture entrance test which will be conducted on April 24. AMU departmental test for PG courses will be conducted from June 13 to 23, 2020. The dates of the result decalration of AMU entrance examination will be notified soon by the university . Candidates who will be qualified after the result and cut off declaration will be invited for the AMU 2020 counselling for admission. Aligarh Muslim university offers various UG and PG programmes through AMU 2020 admission which are divided into various faculties such as Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of International Studies, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Life Sciences and Faculty of Commerce. The eligibility criteria of AMU 2020 is the minimum academic qualifications and other basic requirements required for admission to various UG and PG courses offered by the university. Any candidate who clears the entrance examination but does not meet the AMU 2020 eligibility criteria will not be considered eligible for admission.
Candidates appearing for admission in Bachelor’s programme must have completed their senior secondary examination.
For admission in PG courses offered by the university, candidates must have finished Bachelor’s programme.
Graduate Courses and other courses like Advance Diploma / Diploma / Certificate courses where the qualifying examination is Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent
Postgraduate & other courses where the qualifying examination is graduation
Postgraduate and other courses where duration of qualifying examination, after graduation, is two years

The application forms of AMU 2020 are available in online mode from January 16, for BA, B.Com and BSc. programmes, in online mode. For PG programmes, AMU 2020 admission forms were released on January 20. The last date to fill the AMU application form 2020 is February 21 for UG courses, except for B.Sc Hons. Agriculture in which applications can be submitted till February 25. For PG cousrse, the last date to submit the admission form of AMU 2020 is Febraury 29, which varies depending upon the programme opted. To fill and submit the application form of AMU 2020, candidates need to register themselves first. After the registration process is completed candidates are required to log in using their registration details to fill the AMU 2020 application form. After filling AMU application form 2020, candidates need to pay the application fee. Candidates will also be provided with a window to make changes with their names, father's name, mother's name, date of birth and gender in the submitted AMU admission form 2020.
AMU entrance exam 2020 will be conducted across seven exam centres of AMU 2020 in pen and paper mode. Candidates need to select the most convenient AMU 2020 test centre while filling out the application form. AMU 2020 exam centre for admission in PG courses through the departmental test will be Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The university holds the right to change the test centre of AMU 2020 without giving any reason.

Candidates who will fill and submit the application form can download the admit card of AMU 2020 from one or two weeks before their respective admission test. Candidates can download the AMU 2020 hall ticket in online mode from the official website of AMU Controller Exams. AMU admit card 2020 contains the details like the exam centres, examination, date and time of the exam, exam day instructions, etc. No admit card for AMU admission will be sent by post to the candidates. Candidates are also advised to keep a printout of the admit card in hand until the admission procedure is completed. Candidates were also required to carry along with their admit card a valid photo ID proof on the day of the examination.

Candidates appearing for the entrance examination can check the exam pattern of AMU 2020 admission in order to get familiar with the structure and format of the examination. The university offers admissions to UG courses with the help of an entrance examination called as Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam, whereas for admissions in PG courses the university conducts a departmental test. As per the AMU exam pattern 2020, the objective type entrance examination will be conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates who wish to appear for AMU 2020 entrance exam must check the complete syllabus before making any examination strategy. Candidates will be able to figure out the important topics and units with the help of AMU syllabus 2020 before making the timetable.
Candidates can now prepare a time-table incorporating the syllabus, sample paper solving and mock tests. Candidates are required to give the right amount of time for the different aspects of preparation. Apart from finishing the cores of the syllabus, candidates must also solve sample papers and attempt mock tests to check the status of their preparation.
Solving sample papers from previous years will not only help candidates to understand the exam pattern and questions in a better way, but it will also help the candidates to check their knowledge and accuracy.

The examination conducting body will release the answer key of AMU 2020 in the second week of April 2020 after the result declaration for UG courses. The AMU 2020 answer key release date for PG programmes will be notified soon. With the help of AMU answer key 2020, candidates can calculate the estimation of marks which they can score in the entrance examination. AMU 2020 answer key will mention a scanned copy of the OMR sheet mentioning the correct answer for each question based on the series of the question paper. Candidates can cross-check the answers along with the answer key online. In case, candidates found any discrepancy in the answers they could bring the same to the notice of the authorities by the second week of April 2020.
The result of AMU 2020 for admission will be released in the fourth week of June 2020 for UG programmes. For PG programmes, the AMU 2020 result dates will be notified soon. Candidates who will appear in the AMU entrance examination 2020 can check the AMU 2020 result online in a PDF form. The result of AMU 2020 mentions the roll number of candidate, date, time and venue of the admission. Shortlisted candidates need to appear on the counselling venue along with the requisite documents for claiming admission.

The merit list of AMU 2020 will be based on the performance in the entrance examination and result of Interview/ Group Discussion/ Aptitude Assessment. AMU merit list 2020 will be released along with the result in the fourth week of June 2020. Candidates whose names will be enlisted in the merit list of AMU 2020 need to appear in the scheduled venue for the document verification process.
The cutoff of AMU 2020 will mention the minimum marks to be scored by the candidates to be eligible for the remaining round of AMU admission process. AMU 2020 cut off will be released in the first week of July 2020. The university will conduct the counselling of AMU 2020 in offline mode. Along with the cut off, the list of candidates who have qualified for AMU 2020 counselling. The counselling of AMU 2020 will be conducted in the second week of July 2020. AMU 2020 counselling will be different for special category, chance memo and previously selected candidates. During the counselling for AMU admission 2020, the admission committee will check the eligibility criteria of shortlisted candidates by verifying the documents. After the counselling process is complete, candidates who have been allotted seats should complete the admission process by paying the admission fee required for the course.
